The 21st Medway Scout Group is pleased to announce this year’s Five-a-side Football Tournament, open to both Medway Towns & Gillingham Scout Districts, which will be held on Saturday 17th June 2017.
The tournament will be held at Anchorians Sports Ground, Darland Avenue, Gillingham, ME7 3AN, and open to Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers. The new venue will allow more pitches, ample parking, and has a clubhouse with changing rooms and toilets. Food, refreshments and tuck will also be available.
Matches will be played on a league basis in the first round, with the best teams going forward to a knockout competition to find this year’s champions in each Section.
Team entry is now closed. Instructions for paying entry fees (£14 per team), by bank transfer or other methods, have been emailed to entrants.
Following #YouthShaped feedback, the rule regarding substitutions will be altered to accommodate unlimited, roll-on-roll-off substitutions of your seven players, at the referee’s discretion
You must bring your team sheet with you on match day and register it with match control before 8:30am. Please do not send in your team lists at this stage as details often change before the event.
Please ensure that your players’ dates of birth comply with the tournament age limits. It is advisable to bring birth certificates of any player that looks older than their age listed on the team sheet.
Previous winners must return trophies on match day, or if you are not attending this year, by 2nd June 2017.
